Joshua D. McDonald, PhD.Dr. McDonald is an Assistant Professor at Winthrop University. His area of concentration is nutrition and chronic disease prevention. His research is focused on low glycemic food-based approaches to manage postprandial hyperglycemia-mediated impairments in vascular endothelial function in adults with prediabetes. Including eggs and dairy in carbohydrate-rich meals may have a beneficial effect in improving vascular health to lower risk for cardiovascular disease. Dr. McDonald has a BA degree in Biology from Malone University. He completed his PhD at Ohio State University in 2018. Dr. McDonald received an Egg Nutrition Center Young Investigator Research Award in 2016. He has received a number of graduate student awards while at Ohio State University. Dr. McDonald is an avid cyclist and loves fine food. |
